Spacwatch - Fintech Platform
Fintech platform architecture for financial data and payments.

FinTech Platform Architecture & Market Intelligence (Spacwatch)
I architected and led the end-to-end development of the Spacwatch FinTech platform, establishing a secure, scalable foundation for financial market intelligence and SPAC-focused analysis. The platform was designed to support real-time data ingestion, regulatory-grade reliability, and a seamless user experience for investors, analysts, and financial professionals.
This work required integrating external financial systems, enforcing strong security controls, and building data pipelines capable of delivering accurate, timely, and auditable market insights.
Third-Party Integrations & Secure Payments
I led the integration of third-party payment providers and external market data services, ensuring that all financial interactions met high standards for security, compliance, and reliability.
Key aspects included: • Secure payment processing and subscription management via trusted payment gateways • Tokenized payment flows to minimize exposure of sensitive financial data • Webhook-driven event handling for billing, renewals, and entitlement changes • Robust error handling and reconciliation workflows for financial transactions
These integrations enabled frictionless onboarding and monetization while maintaining strong security posture.
Market Data Ingestion & Financial Data Pipelines
At the core of Spacwatch was a set of high-integrity data pipelines designed to ingest, validate, and analyze financial market data related to Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs).
Key capabilities included: • Continuous ingestion of structured and semi-structured market data from multiple providers • Validation and normalization pipelines to ensure data accuracy and consistency • Time-series data modeling optimized for trend analysis and historical comparison • Deterministic processing guarantees to support reliable alerts and notifications
The pipelines were designed to be fault-tolerant and replayable, ensuring resilience to upstream data issues.
SPAC Intelligence & Notification Architecture
To support timely investor decision-making, I designed an event-driven notification system that surfaced critical SPAC-related signals: • Detection of filings, announcements, mergers, and status changes • Configurable alerting based on user-defined criteria • Near real-time delivery via email, in-app notifications, and messaging channels • Auditable notification workflows to ensure accuracy and trust
This architecture enabled users to react quickly to market-moving events.
Security, Reliability & Compliance Considerations
Given the financial domain, the platform emphasized: • Strong authentication and authorization controls • Encryption of sensitive data in transit and at rest • Least-privilege access across services and integrations • Monitoring and alerting for anomalous activity
These safeguards ensured platform trustworthiness while supporting rapid feature development.
Platform & Business Outcomes
The Spacwatch platform delivered: • A reliable, real-time source of SPAC market intelligence • Secure monetization through integrated payments • High-confidence data pipelines for financial analysis • A scalable foundation for expanding financial products and insights
By combining secure integrations, event-driven data pipelines, and market-focused analytics, Spacwatch provided actionable financial intelligence in a fast-moving investment domain.
